You’ve decided that cable railing is going to be the best option for your project, but you're not sure which system to choose. At HAAS Stainless, we manufacture two different cable railing systems. The HAAS REVO system and the HAAS AXIS system. So, we're going to compare the two on versatility, look and esthetics, and ease of use.

The REVO System

Versatility – Most Customizable

The REVO system is going to be our most versatile system since it can be used for both wood and metal post. The type of components that make up the REVO system are going to be either classified as thru-post components or lag components. The combination of these two types of components is going to give you more customizability across your system, since you can select different components for different cable run and post scenarios.

Aesthetic – Minimalist

If you're looking for a system that is going to offer you the most minimal look, then the REVO system is going to be the way to go. Most of the components in the REVO system will either be tucked inside of the post or mounted to the back side of the post making bulky parts out-of-sight. And that's going to offer you the cleanest look possible.

Ease of Use – More In-depth Planning Required

Of the two cable railing systems that we manufacture, we have found that the REVO system is going to be a little bit more challenging to plan out and install because you have more component options to choose from. So if you do end up going with the REVO system, you're going to want to make sure that you do your homework, have a good understanding of how the components are used, how they're going to interact with one another at different post scenarios, and also how they're installed, that way, whenever it comes to installing the system, you're going to be good to go.

The AXIS System

Versatility – Simplicity Over Customization

The AXIS system was not necessarily designed for versatility, but for simplicity. but for simplicity. It's currently only designed to be used for wood post type applications, and all the components that make up the AXIS system are going to be lag-type components, which are going to secure to your post using stainless steel decking screws. If you're looking for a very easy-to-install, straightforward option for your wood post cable railing system, then hands down AXIS is going to be the way to go.

Aesthetic – Industrial

Unlike the REVO system, which we designed for minimalism, we designed the AXIS system to stand out a little bit more, so you are going to be able to see your components installed at your post. The components in the access system have a unique and industrial-type look, which we love. So, whether it's outdoor cable railing or indoor, the system is going to look awesome.

Ease of Use – Simple and Straightforward

The AXIS system's greatest strength is its ease of use. Since the access system is only composed of just a few components, planning out the system is easy, and installing this system is a breeze since all the components mount in the post in the exact same way. So, if you're looking for a straightforward option for your wood post cable system than the AXIS system is the way to go.
